LULAC Black & White Ball... (Click here to contact the 2008 Committee)

The Annual LULAC Black & White Ball is our organization's principal fundraising event with all proceeds benefiting Latino youth.  Since 1977 the LULAC Black & White Ball has raised over $200,000.00 for LULAC scholarship applicants.  Salinas LULAC Council #2055 has a national agreement with the LULAC National Educational Service Center (LNESC) in Washington D.C. and for every dollar raised by Salinas LULAC Council #2055, the LNESC will match our organization by 60% for scholarship money.

The Annual LULAC Black and White Ball, which began in 1977 as a small event has grown over the past years to become one of the largest scholarship fundraising events for local youth in the County of Monterey.

With hundreds of distinguished guests in attendance, the Annual LULAC Black & White Ball is the largest Latino social event in the County of Monterey.  This event is recognized for bringing together people of varied ethnic, professional, and geographical backgrounds to achieve a common goal:  To raise scholarship money for local youth.

Guests are a who's who of leaders from the public and private sectors, including Members of the California State Assembly, Monterey County Board of Supervisors, City Council Members, High School and College Trustees along with other various community and business leaders.
